Four industry champions to be recognised at Awards Presentation Ceremony and Panel Discussion on 12 February 2023 at JGT Dubai
DUBAI, 21 December 2022 – Three jewellery and gemstone enterprises and a promising coloured gemstone entrepreneur that have shown incredible leadership, resilience and brilliance in the most difficult of times are the Honourees of the Special Edition of JWA Dubai, one of the most prestigious accolades given in the jewellery industry.
A regional edition of the Jewellery World Awards (JWA), JWA Dubai is taking on a unique format in 2023 to better reflect the challenges that businesses experienced in the last 12 months. This special tribute recognises and honours outstanding individuals and businesses in the Middle East and beyond that inspire, lead and drive positive change in the communities they serve by championing business excellence, innovation, inclusivity, sustainability and social partnerships.
The Honourees will be feted at JWA Dubai Special Edition’s Awards Presentation Ceremony and Panel Discussion, which will be hosted by Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai (JGT Dubai) on its opening day, 12 February 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and will be recorded for the global audience. The premier B2B sourcing event runs for three days.
The JWA Dubai Special Edition Honourees are:
Brand of the Year – Retail: Dhamani Outstanding Enterprise of the Year: Pure Gold Jewellers Outstanding Coloured Gemstone Enterprise of the Year: Belmont Emeralds Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Kobi Sevdermish of Advanced Quality ACC Ltd
The Honourees were determined by JGT Dubai show organisers Informa Markets Jewellery and the Italian Exhibition Group. The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) was consulted for the Outstanding Coloured Gemstone Enterprise of the Year category.
The four Honourees will serve as panellists right after JGT Dubai’s opening ceremony on 12 February 2023. Focusing on the theme, “Inspired Leadership In A Post-Pandemic World,” the panel discussion will highlight powerful lessons in business and in life that helped these organisations survive the pandemic, prepare for recovery and build resilience for the next disruption.
Joining them in the panel discussion are Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) – official partner of JGT Dubai, and Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman of Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) – industry partner of the show. They will share their unique insights and perspectives on maintaining business continuity and agility in the face of adversity.
